Steve Tenney Bio:
Steve’s primary focus is on the construction industry, where he identifies and seeks to enhance opportunities with existing and potential clients to offer solutions from someone who has walked a mile in their shoes. Steve’s career started in public accounting working with numerous construction companies. Steve has more than 30 years of experience as a business owner and CFO of construction companies and this gives him a good sense of challenges that exist in not only the construction industry but in what it takes to be an effective leader.
His deep level of knowledge about the construction industry also comes from his involvement with the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) at the local and National level. In addition to local leadership, he served on the Executive Committee for 3 years followed by 4 years as a national officer, including serving as the National Chairman in 2014-15. Steve continues to mentor others in the construction industry as they pursue their personal growth and career goals. Steve was the recipient of the Danny B. Parrish Outstanding Leadership Award in 2025.
In addition to his continued involvement with CFMA, Steve has been involved with the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention, Master Builders of Iowa and other construction associations.
Tom Borgia Bio:
As CFO /Partner for J. Raymond Construction, Tom is responsible for managing the financial operations for the company including forecasting, budgeting, and planning. He also leads the investing, banking, and accounting activities for J. Raymond Construction. In addition, Tom leads our risk management program, including property and casualty insurances and bonding needs. Tom also oversees the Human Resource and IT Departments and is responsible for the companies 401k/Profit Sharing plan. With over 25 years of construction industry experience, Tom, provides sound guidance and direction for the operations team, while being focused on risk management initiatives and seeking out the most effective ways to serve our clients.
